I'm trying to work on logo designs with my friend Ben Purvis. (A recent grad of Ringling school of Art and Design) I've designed the logo as a tribute to my recently deceased cat, Lelu. She was the sweetest and most beautifully marked cat I have ever known, and I miss her a lot. We are trying to keep her facial patterns on the logo, and I'm trying to steal some styles from TRON and the Transformers. Well, we were spared from the destruction of hurricane Charley. Fifty miles south of us wasn't so lucky. With all the preparations I made for this storm when its projected path put us right in the middle of impending doom, I sorta wish we had seen something from it. A fallen tree branch would have been enough, but we had less rain and wind that day than your average afternoon thunderstorm. My friends and I were getting so impatient for something to happen all day... Here we were with many days worth of water and food and boards over all the windows, and all we got was some drizzle. My parents house in Orlando wasn't so lucky. They had a 50 foot pine tree fall over in the front yard. Amazingly it didn't hit anything. A branch came flying from a few houses down to break down part of their screen over the pool. I would have some pictures if their power was back on, but for now, they and many hundreds of thousands of people around the state are without power!
